We began as a group of 12 friends who met through church. We gathered together monthly to give away personal care and cleaning products at a local free medical clinic/community dinner.
It has been a blessing to have the helping hands of friends, family, and fellow church friends. Their donations of personal care products, coupons, money and other items make it possible to keep up with this outreach.
What happened recently could only have been a nudge from above. A fellow church member, with a huge heart to serve, donated 100 reusable, handmade drawstring bags. After seeing these fun and functional bags, we have teamed up, pursuing a vision to reach out to our community by providing "Bags of Love".
With the collective creativity of many we look forward to providing bags with personal care products for various causes in our community.
We are strong supporters of the Operation Christmas Child shoe boxes and we include a "Bag of Love" for the kiddos to keep their treasures in.
The hope is that whoever receives one of these "Bags of Love" will know that they are special, they matter and that they are loved.
"No one has ever seen God. But if we love each other,
God lives in us, and his love is brought to full expression in us." 1 John 4:12
